GDN trailer: R Madhavan brings legendary inventor GD Naidu's story to life
The makers of GDN unveiled the film's official trailer on Sunday (July 5), offering audiences a glimpse into the remarkable journey of legendary Indian inventor GD Naidu. R Madhavan headlines the biographical period drama, portraying the pioneering innovator whose groundbreaking work left a lasting impact despite numerous obstacles.
The three-minute trailer traces Naidu's journey from his formative years, highlighting his inquisitive mind, unconventional thinking and relentless pursuit of innovation. It also sheds light on the personal and professional challenges he faced while striving to turn his ideas into reality.
Directed by Krishnakumar Ramakumar, GDN features an ensemble cast including Sathyaraj, Priyamani, Jayaram and Dushara Vijayan in pivotal roles alongside Madhavan.
The screenplay has been co-written by Krishnakumar Ramakumar and R Madhavan. The film is produced by Varghese Moolan in collaboration with Tricolour Films, the production house founded by Madhavan and his wife, Sarita.
GDN is scheduled to hit theatres on July 17.
On the work front, Madhavan was last seen in Dhurandhar and Dhurandhar: The Revenge, directed by Aditya Dhar and featuring Ranveer Singh. The actor was also recently honoured with the Padma Shri for his significant contribution to Indian cinema.
