Prime Video has officially announced The Traitors India Season 2, confirming the return of the reality series with a teaser that once again promises a game built on trust, strategy and betrayal.
The teaser maintains an air of mystery, featuring masked figures dressed in red robes carrying daggers as they move through landmarks and busy locations across New Delhi and Mumbai, including markets, metro stations, airports and city streets.
Messages appearing throughout the teaser read, "The traitors are coming back," "Yahan trust is rare and dhokha is everywhere" and "The dhokha is back." While the announcement confirms a second season, Prime Video has not revealed details about the contestants, release date or format.
Season 1 recap
The inaugural season of The Traitors India featured contestants from the worlds of entertainment, sports and digital content. The participants included Uorfi Javed, Nikita Luther, Purav Jha, Karan Kundrra, Raj Kundra, Raftaar, Jasmin Bhasin, Anshula Kapoor, Ashish Vidyarthi, Apoorva Mukhija, Jannat Zubair, Elnaaz Norouzi, Harsh Gujral, Lakshmi Manchu, Maheep Kapoor, Mukesh Chhabra, Sahil Salathia, Janvi Gaur, Sudhanshu Pandey and Sufi Motiwala.
Hosted by Karan Johar, the reality show revolved around trust, deception and strategy, with contestants attempting to identify the hidden traitors while surviving eliminations and completing challenges to build the prize pool.
Winners of Season 1
The finale featured seven contestants, with Uorfi Javed, Nikita Luther, Jasmin Bhasin, Apoorva Mukhija and Sudhanshu Pandey competing as Innocents, while Purav Jha and Harsh Gujral were the remaining Traitors.
Harsh Gujral was eliminated before the final vote, and Uorfi Javed and Nikita Luther successfully retained their Innocent status to emerge as the winners of the first season.
The duo shared the ₹70.5 lakh prize money. Following the victory, Uorfi handed over her share to Nikita, saying that if her intention had been to win the money, she could have claimed the entire prize herself.
The first season of The Traitors India is currently available to stream on Amazon Prime Video.
