Ala Bolelo, the first track from Nelson Dilipkumar’s Jailer 2, was released on Friday evening, becoming the film’s first major musical release ahead of its worldwide theatrical debut on October 15. Composed and performed by Anirudh Ravichander, the dance track features Rajinikanth and Shamna Kasim and incorporates a Malayalam flavour aimed at Onam audiences in Kerala.
The four-minute lyrical video puts Shamna Kasim in the spotlight as she performs in a traditional kasavu saree, while Rajinikanth makes a brief appearance. The song soon generated reactions on X, with several viewers praising its high energy and Shamna’s performance. However, some users also brought up criticism directed at earlier promotional material, particularly concerns over the pronunciation of Malayalam words and a dancer seemingly moving in the opposite direction from the others.
