The AIAPGET 2026 examination was disrupted at an examination centre in Jaipur after a power failure prevented 49 candidates from completing their computer-based test.
The incident took place at Shri Satya Sai PG College, where 192 candidates appeared. The NTA said the disruption was linked to its examination-conducting agency, Eduquity Career Technologies Private Limited, and apologised for the inconvenience.
What happened?
The exam was held in two shifts on August 22. In the first shift, 35,837 of 36,979 registered candidates appeared across 200 centres nationwide.
While most candidates completed the test, the 49 candidates at the Jaipur centre were unable to finish after the power supply failed at around 10:15 am, shortly after the 10 am exam began.
There were also reports of disruption during the second shift, with candidates reportedly waiting outside the centre beyond the scheduled entry period because the power supply remained unavailable.
Re-examination on September 1
The NTA has decided to conduct a fresh examination for all 49 affected candidates.
Date: September 1, 2026
Time: 10 am
Venue: Rajasthan College of Engineering for Women, Jaipur
Affected candidates will receive revised admit cards containing details of the re-examination.
Candidates with questions can contact the NTA through its official helplines or email aiapget@nta.ac.in.
