Actor Shehnaaz Gill had a frightening moment on the sets of Ishqnama when her nose ring accidentally slipped into her mouth during a shoot. The actor was seen coughing and appeared to struggle briefly before her co-star Saurabh Sachdeva stepped in to help.
Shehnaaz shared a behind-the-scenes video capturing the incident. In the clip, she can be seen running during a scene when her nose ring suddenly came loose and landed in her mouth. She began coughing, after which Saurabh patted her back and helped her recover from the unexpected mishap.
Sharing the video, Shehnaaz wrote, “Before the video, there's a little BTS story. So many of you were asking me to post the nathni moment.”
The video left fans concerned about the actor’s safety, with several users asking her to be more careful while shooting. One fan wrote, “Take care Sana baby... Thanks God baby thik hai (sic),” while another commented, “Take care of your health Shehnaaz Gill (sic).”
The incident occurred during the filming of Ishqnama, a Punjabi romantic period drama directed by Arvindr Khaira. The film follows Nimma, a young Sikh student and poet from India, who falls in love with Nasima, a Muslim girl from Pakistan. Shehnaaz stars in the film alongside Jayy Randhawa, Saurabh Sachdeva, Anjum Batra and Mahanbir Bhullar.
Meanwhile, Shehnaaz will next appear in the Punjabi romantic comedy Singh vs Kaur 2, directed by Navaniat Singh. The film, which also features Gippy Grewal, is scheduled to release worldwide on September 11, 2026.
