I don't like it: Fans support Shriya Saran despite her 5-year-old kid objecting to paparazzi

Actor Shriya Saran’s daughter was recently seen objecting to being photographed during an outing in Mumbai. The child told the paparazzi, “I don’t like it,” and later expressed her frustration by shouting as the photographers continued recording. The incident led several social media users to urge photographers to respect the child’s comfort and personal boundaries.

Shriya had reportedly visited the ISKCON temple in Mumbai to express gratitude following the release of her latest film, Awarapan 2. When she left the temple with her family, her daughter appeared uncomfortable after noticing the paparazzi. She moved behind her mother and avoided facing the cameras.

As Shriya stepped out of the temple, she interacted with the photographers gathered outside. Her daughter, however, immediately hid behind her after seeing the cameras and was heard saying, “I don’t like it.”

Seeing that her daughter was uncomfortable, Shriya calmly told her, “Okay, you stand behind mamma.” She then posed with her family for the photographers while her daughter remained behind her. The child was also heard shouting and showing her irritation at the continued filming.

The video sparked reactions on social media, with several users saying the girl’s wishes should have been respected. One user criticised the photographer for continuing to film even after the child had clearly expressed that she did not want to be photographed, adding that adults should respect a child’s boundaries and refusal.

Another user commented that people should understand the situation and leave the family alone. A third said the child has repeatedly shown that she dislikes being filmed and that her feelings should be respected.

Shriya married Russian entrepreneur Andrei Koscheev at her Lokhandwala residence in 2018. The couple welcomed their daughter, Radha Saran Koscheev, in 2021.
