Samsung appears to have another major launch lined up shortly after introducing its latest Galaxy Z foldable smartphones less than a month ago. The company is now preparing to host another Galaxy Event, where it is expected to unveil the Galaxy S26 FE as the latest addition to its premium smartphone range.
Samsung announced the event on X through a brief AI-generated video confirming that the Galaxy Event will take place on August 27. The clip shows three cups arranged inside a pill-shaped tray, with the middle cup being removed to reveal the words “Galaxy Event”. The visual could be a subtle indication of the Galaxy S26 FE’s redesigned look, which is expected to take design cues from other models in the Galaxy S26 lineup.
Samsung has not officially revealed which device will be introduced during the event. However, based on multiple leaks, the Galaxy S26 FE appears to be the most likely candidate. The company launched the Galaxy S25 FE during the first week of September last year.
How to watch Samsung Galaxy Event?
Samsung has confirmed that the Galaxy Event will begin at 12 pm UTC, or 5:30 pm IST, on August 27. The launch will be streamed live through Samsung’s official website and YouTube channel.
India Today Tech will also provide updates from the Galaxy Event.
Samsung Galaxy S26 FE: What we know so far
Samsung has yet to officially disclose specifications for the Galaxy S26 FE, but several details have surfaced through leaks. According to a report by AndroidHeadlines, the smartphone could feature a refreshed design with a pill-shaped camera module, resembling the design language of other Galaxy S26 models.
The Galaxy S26 FE is reportedly expected to arrive in three colour options: Blueberry, Graphite and Pistachio. The handset could feature a flat aluminium frame and a flat rear panel, with an overall thickness of around 7.4mm. It may also receive an IP68 rating for protection against dust and water.
On the front, the smartphone is expected to feature a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The panel could also come protected by Gorilla Glass Victus+.
Under the hood, the Galaxy S26 FE may be powered by Samsung’s Exynos 2500 chipset, manufactured using a 3nm process. The device is expected to carry a 4,900mAh battery, matching the capacity of the Galaxy S25 FE, along with support for 45W wired charging.
For photography, the smartphone could feature a triple rear-camera system comprising a 50-megapixel primary sensor, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera and an 8-megapixel telephoto lens. A 12-megapixel camera is expected to handle selfies and video calls.
Samsung is also likely to introduce additional AI-powered features with the Galaxy S26 FE. The phone is expected to ship with Android 17-based One UI 9 and could receive seven years of operating system updates.
Samsung Galaxy S26 FE expected price
There is currently limited information about the expected Indian pricing of the Galaxy S26 FE. Reports suggest that the phone could start at $799 in the US, approximately Rs 76,000, which would represent a notable increase over the Galaxy S25 FE’s $649, or around Rs 62,000, starting price.
With the ongoing memory shortage and rising component costs affecting the smartphone market, the Galaxy S26 FE could potentially be priced higher in India as well. For comparison, the Galaxy S25 FE was introduced in India at a starting price of Rs 59,999.
