The A-list couple announced their pregnancy in April this year.
“Welcome baby girl,” they wrote in a joint Instagram post, accompanied by an evil eye emoji. The short announcement was enough to spark celebrations online, with Bollywood celebrities and friends flooding the comments with wishes for the new parents.
Sonam Kapoor, Sara Arjun, Anil Kapoor and Kriti Sanon were among those who congratulated the couple, joining numerous fans in celebrating the arrival of their second child.
The announcement also reminded fans of another September arrival. Deepika and Ranveer welcomed their first daughter, Dua, on September 8, 2024, sharing the news with the same words: “Welcome baby girl.” Almost two years later, the family has welcomed another daughter.
A few days before the birth of their second child, Deepika and Ranveer made a quiet spiritual visit in Mumbai. On Friday, the couple visited the Siddhivinayak Temple along with Ranveer’s parents. Deepika was pregnant at the time and wore an orange-and-purple kurta set, while Ranveer was dressed in a purple kurta paired with white trousers.
The temple visit came a day after Ranveer sought blessings at Lalbaugcha Raja. It also echoed an earlier moment in their lives, as the couple had visited Siddhivinayak on September 6, 2024, just two days before Dua’s birth.
Deepika and Ranveer had also recently posted photos from their pregnancy shoot, offering fans a glimpse into the period before their family welcomed another member. Earlier this month, they marked Dua’s second birthday by sharing a series of family photos. Fans were quick to comment on how much the little girl resembled her father.
Deepika and Ranveer’s relationship began while they were working on Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela in 2013. Their professional collaboration eventually developed into a relationship that continued for several years before they married on November 14, 2018, in Lake Como, Italy. The couple had two wedding ceremonies, celebrating both their Konkani and Sindhi traditions.
