Hanuman Ansh maintained its strong theatrical performance on Saturday, September 19, registering an almost 95 per cent increase in its India net earnings. The Shobhinaw Satyaa and Chandan Anand-led film collected Rs 9.75 crore net on Day 44, pushing its overall India net collection beyond the Rs 250-crore milestone to Rs 258.13 crore, according to trade portal Sacnilk.
The film was screened across 7,119 shows on its seventh Saturday and recorded an overall occupancy of 30 per cent. Its Day 44 earnings were a substantial improvement over the Rs 5 crore it collected on Friday, September 18. On Day 43, the film had registered 18 per cent occupancy across 6,462 shows.
After 44 days in theatres, Hanuman Ansh has now accumulated Rs 258.13 crore net in India. Its domestic gross collection has reached Rs 304.80 crore.
Audience turnout saw a clear improvement on the seventh Saturday, with occupancy rising from 18 per cent on Friday to 30 per cent the following day. The increase in earnings came after the film had collected Rs 5 crore on Day 43.
Hanuman Ansh has continued its strong run in the domestic market through its seventh week and has also added to its earnings through overseas screenings.
Morning shows recorded 14 per cent occupancy, which rose to 32.62 per cent during the afternoon. Evening screenings climbed further to 42.23 per cent, while night shows recorded the highest occupancy of the day at 45 per cent.
The film also remained steady in international markets, earning another Rs 1.50 crore in overseas gross on Day 44. As a result, its worldwide gross collection has reached Rs 329.30 crore.
Hanuman Ansh is adapted from Divine Detour: That Changed My Life and is inspired by the life of Neem Karoli Baba.
Set in pre-Independence India, the story centres on Lakshmi Narayan, a young boy who loses his mother and leaves his home in search of God. His journey takes him through various parts of northern India, where a series of encounters and experiences gradually change his life and lead him towards becoming Neem Karoli Baba.
Shobhinaw Satyaa and Chandan Anand play the lead roles in the film, which also features Anil Rastogi, Sugandha Malhotra, Bhagvandas Patel and Neha Paranjpe.
