Actor Salman Khan has addressed concerns about his health after a Bigg Boss 20 promo showed him appearing to suffer chest pain on stage. In the clip, the actor was seen lying down, clutching his chest and asking for a doctor, prompting worried fans to send him recovery messages on social media. Salman has now clarified that there is “nothing wrong” with his health and explained that the scene was staged to deliver a message to contestant Qazi Touqeer.
During the latest Weekend Ka Vaar episode, the 60-year-old actor was seen holding his chest while addressing the contestants. The dramatic moment was later featured in a promo, making viewers believe that Salman had suffered a genuine health emergency. He addressed the concerns through his Instagram Story, saying he was completely fine and expressing his disappointment with how the promo had been edited.
“Nothing is wrong with my health by the grace of God,” Salman wrote.
The Ek Tha Tiger actor explained that he deliberately acted as though he was in pain to make Qazi understand why using someone’s health as a source of entertainment was inappropriate. Salman pointed out that the other contestants did not know he was pretending and had genuinely become concerned about his condition.
“It totally beats the purpose and looks like I am doing the same thing that kazi was doing in the house; the pain was only to show kazi that wat he did was wrong coz he used his health for entertainment, especially when the 15 people in the house were not aware that he was acting and were getting worried for his health (sic),” he wrote.
Salman also said that the original purpose of the scene was undermined by the way it was edited and turned into promotional content. He apologised to viewers on behalf of the channel.
“Sorry about the way the promo was cut. Guess it's the format that they use in promoting the shows. I apologise on their behalf (sic),” he wrote.
The makers have since released another promo showing Salman confronting Qazi Touqeer over his conduct inside the Bigg Boss 20 house.
Meanwhile, during Weekend Ka Vaar, Salman was seen in a visibly angry mood as he criticised online trolls for targeting actors, especially female artistes, over their appearance. He also spoke about speculation surrounding his own health and appearance.
Responding to repeated comments about his bald look, the Bajrangi Bhaijaan actor took off his hat and T-shirt on stage, seemingly signalling to trolls that their remarks did not bother him.
