Actor Alia Bhatt extended birthday wishes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 76th birthday on Thursday and announced that she and her husband, actor Ranbir Kapoor, would support the BJP’s upcoming #SevaSankalpAbhiyaan by pledging to refurbish 20 schools. The BJP plans to launch the initiative in October to commemorate 25 years of PM Modi’s public service.
Alia’s message came as several Bollywood personalities took to social media to wish the Prime Minister on his birthday.
In her post, Alia wrote, “Happy Birthday to our Hon’ble Prime Minister @narendramodi ji! Wishing you a healthy and fulfilling year ahead. The spirit of #SevaSankalpAbhiyaan reflects a wonderful vision of collective action and giving back. To mark this day and support the cause, Ranbir and I are pledging to refurbish 20 schools as per the recommendations of @mybmc, helping create brighter, better-equipped spaces for our children to learn and thrive.”
Among the other celebrities who wished PM Modi, Salman Khan shared a message on X saying, “Janam Din Mubarak Ho Honourable PM Sahab, Wish you a very Happy Birthday Narendra Bhai Modi. Jai Hind.”
Shah Rukh Khan also posted his birthday greeting on X, writing, “Here’s wishing you a very Happy Birthday, Honourable PM @narendramodi ji. To many more years of good health, happiness and fulfilment. May you always carry the strength and positivity to inspire the nation.”
The birthday greetings came as the BJP geared up to begin the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyaan’ to commemorate 25 years of PM Modi’s public service. At a press conference at the party headquarters on September 9, BJP National President Nitin Nabin said PM Modi would complete 25 years in public service on October 7. He announced that the party would observe the milestone through a special month-long ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyaan’.
