Yogi's Ajay Seth and Akhilesh Yadav's "Angry Young Man" in the Samajwadi Party's AI film

Political tensions have intensified ahead of the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly election, with the Samajwadi Party taking another swipe at Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath through an AI-generated video.

At a press conference, SP chief Akhilesh Yadav presented a short AI-generated film styled around the exaggerated cinema of the 1980s. In the video, his character delivers aggressive dialogues attacking the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister.

The film portrays Yogi Adityanath as the antagonist, while Akhilesh Yadav is presented as a messianic figure speaking for the underprivileged. The Chief Minister is depicted in the style of a classic Bollywood villain, sitting inside his lair with his associates around him.

He is shown smoking a cigar and boasting about his public relations (PR) machinery, claiming it can control his image and influence public opinion despite allegations of poor governance under the BJP government.

Akhilesh Yadav’s character, presented in an ‘angry young man’ avatar, then confronts the Chief Minister and accuses him of being responsible for increasing crimes against women, poor-quality expressway construction, rising corruption, the decline of the public education system and farmer suicides.

During the confrontation, the former Chief Minister repeatedly refers to Yogi Adityanath as “Ajay Seth”, a feudal-sounding variation of his actual name, “Ajay Bisht”.

“Aaj tumhare raj mein cheeni jaan se zyada mehangi ho gayi hai... Cylinder, gas, ration sab mehanga hai. Sasti hai toh bas garib ki jaan. (Today, under your rule, sugar has become more expensive than human life... Gas cylinders and rations have all become expensive. The only thing that remains cheap is the life of the poor.)”

The video also depicts Yogi Adityanath’s character claiming that he spends more money on PR than even Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

“I spend more than 2 crore rupees in my PR. I spend more than Modi's PR,” he is shown saying.

Akhilesh Yadav’s character responds emphatically, saying that the “pyaar” (love) he receives from the people of Uttar Pradesh is enough to counter any PR machinery.

The video further portrays Yogi Adityanath’s character as acknowledging that his political “model” involves dividing people, provoking tensions between communities and misappropriating donations made to the Ayodhya Ram Temple.

Towards the end, a large gathering of SP supporters is shown outside the window, raising slogans and carrying placards bearing the message, “2027 mein PDA Sarkar (PDA government in 2027).”

The screening comes after Akhilesh Yadav previously presented another AI-generated video in which Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath was depicted smoking a chillum against a satirical musical setting.

The earlier video triggered a strong response from the BJP, which termed it evidence of an “anti-Sanatan” mindset.
