Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, who visited New Delhi for the BRICS Summit, has attracted attention online after a video showed him turning back to personally thank the chauffeur who drove him to the airport before his departure from the capital.
India hosted the 18th BRICS Summit at Bharat Mandapam on September 12 and 13 under the theme “Building Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability.” The event brought 13 heads of state and government and 17 delegations to New Delhi.
In the viral video, Sheikh Khaled can be seen getting out of his vehicle at the airport and greeting dignitaries as he prepared to leave. However, just before departing, he appeared to notice that he had not acknowledged his chauffeur. He then turned around, returned to the car, shook hands with the driver and briefly spoke to him before leaving. News agency ANI reported that the chauffeur was Indian.
The gesture quickly gained traction on social media, with users praising the Crown Prince for taking the time to personally acknowledge the driver.

Sheikh Khaled was in New Delhi representing UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan for bilateral talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Their discussions covered areas including energy supplies, trade, artificial intelligence, financial cooperation, education and tourism.
The talks also touched upon regional security concerns amid the ongoing West Asia crisis, the safety of Indian seafarers and the UAE's involvement in the BRICS framework.
During the summit, Prime Minister Modi also held formal bilateral meetings with several international leaders. According to the Ministry of External Affairs, Modi conducted 15 such meetings over three days, in addition to informal interactions with heads of state, government leaders and international organisations.
