Delhi girl fails her exam and fabricates a molestation allegation to get away from her parents' reprimands

In Delhi, a 14-year-old girl cut herself with a knife and made up a tale about being molested in order to avoid her parents' criticism for her poor performance in the Class 10 examinations.

On March 15, the northeastern Delhi police station of Bhajanpura received a report of the molestation and assault. The girl stated that three boys took her a short distance away after school and sexually assaulted her, causing injuries.

On the basis of the girl's complaint, a case was filed under the IPC's molestation and kidnapping sections and the Pocso Act.

The toddler was seen by the cops wandering alone while reviewing CCTV footage. When the youngster was given police counseling, she disclosed that her social studies exam on March 15 did not go well.

The child reportedly feared being reprimanded by her parents, according to the police. They said that she cut herself with the blade as a result.

The girl was brought before a court, where her statement was recorded. In it, she admitted to harming herself and making untrue accusations. The case was dismissed.
