Ambedkar Jayanti 2023: PM Modi and President Murmu honor "Babasaheb"

 


On Friday, President Droupadi Murmu honored Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar on the occasion of his 132nd birthday. She thought back on Ambedkar's substantial contributions to the country's well-being. Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted Ambedkar's accomplishments in a tweet, noting that he devoted his life to social reforms and uplifting the weaker members of society. Ambedkar, who is regarded as the creator of the Indian Constitution, was a successful economist, lawyer, and author.

"A genius and a symbol of knowledge, Dr. Ambedkar worked tirelessly for the welfare of the country as a politician, economist, legal expert, educator, and social reformer under challenging conditions. His core message of organizing, educating, and working to integrate the underprivileged group into society will always be important, according to President Murmu.

Ram Nath Kovind, a former president, too paid tribute to Ambedkar while recognizing his contributions to modern India.

Salute to Babasaheb Ambedkar on the occasion of his birthday. Dr. Ambedkar, a national icon and the primary architect of our Constitution, fought tirelessly for a caste- and prejudice-free India that ensured equal rights for women and the underprivileged, Kovind said in a tweet.

Ambedkar made a significant contribution to laying the groundwork for India's constitutional democracy, according to Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge. "On the occasion of Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar's Jayanti, we salute his outstanding accomplishments. The democratic tenets of liberty, equality, fraternity, and justice were championed by Babasaheb. We all hold him in the highest regard as India's Constitution's architect, he tweeted.

Senior political figures attended the Ambedkar Jayanti event at Parliament House Lawn, including former Congress president Sonia Gandhi and NCP leader Sharad Pawar.

A well-known social reformer, lawyer, and architect of the Indian Constitution, Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar. His birthdate was April 14, 1891. He served as India's first minister of law and justice after independence.
