In another instance of an honor killing, a 47-year-old man in Tamil Nadu's Krishnagiri district killed his son for getting married to a member of the Scheduled Caste (SC). In an effort to shield her grandson, the man's mother was also killed.

The suspect, Dhandapani, resides in the village of Arunapathi, according to the police. Subash, his son, wed Anusuya, a Dalit lady, two weeks ago while working at a private company in Thiruppur without telling his family.

According to the police, Dhandapani called Subash and his wife to his house under the guise of a talk as soon as he learned about the occurrence. He then used a sickle to chop them.

According to the police, Subash passed away instantly, and his grandmother, who attempted to stop Dhandapani, also perished after being fatally attacked.

Anusuya, Subash's wife, was saved by neighbors and brought to the Uthangarai Government Hospital. Police have initiated a manhunt to find Dhandapani because he has been missing since the event.
