Tamil Nadu BJP president responds to MK Stalin by saying, "DMK stands for Dengue, Malaria, and Kosu."

In response to Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M K Stalin's defense of his son Udhayanidhi Stalin's controversial comments regarding 'Sanatana Dharma,' the state BJP chief, K Annamalai, directed a satirical remark at their political rivals, the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK).

Announcing his perspective on X (formerly known as Twitter), Annamalai humorously expanded the abbreviation DMK as follows:

D - Dengue
M - Malaria
K - Kosu

The term "Kosu" translates to mosquito in Tamil. In a tongue-in-cheek manner, he stated, "If there's anything that needs to be eradicated from Tamil Nadu, it is the DMK. Going forward, we are confident that people will associate these grave diseases with the DMK."

Udhayanidhi, during a recent event in Chennai, drew parallels between 'Sanatana Dharma' and dengue and malaria. He suggested that such ideologies should not be resisted but rather eliminated. Subsequently, he clarified that he did not advocate violence against adherents of 'Sanatana Dharma.'

Directing his remarks to MK Stalin in a video address, Annamalai acknowledged the statements issued by both the Chief Minister and his son on social media platforms. He noted their apparent efforts to moderate their positions, recognizing that they have faced a challenging situation in recent days.

Annamalai also seized the opportunity to comment on MK Stalin's earlier statements, asserting that he had "articulated some falsehoods" concerning Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Earlier in the day, the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister criticized the Prime Minister for commenting without a complete understanding of Udhayanidhi's statements. Stalin dismissed the criticism surrounding his son's remarks as a "baseless narrative," emphasizing that pro-BJP factions were unable to tolerate his son's opposition to oppressive principles and had propagated false claims, alleging that "Udhayanidhi advocated for the genocide of individuals with Sanatana beliefs."
