After a party candidate was stabbed during a poll campaign, KCR said, It's an attack on me


Telangana Chief Minister and the leader of the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), K Chandrashekar Rao, has responded to an incident involving his party member, Kotha Prabhakar Reddy, who was stabbed during a political campaign. KCR expressed his strong reaction to the attack, describing it as an assault on himself, and he urged that "everyone should unequivocally condemn this kind of action."

KCR emphasized, "I am saying the attack on our Dubbak candidate is an attack on me," as reported by news agency PTI. He further warned that if such attacks continue and self-restraint is not exercised, his party also possesses the courage to respond in kind, and those responsible for such actions will face severe consequences.

The incident involved the stabbing of BRS Member of Parliament Kotha Prabhakar Reddy during a political campaign on Monday. The attack, allegedly carried out by an unidentified individual in Siddipet district, resulted in injuries to Reddy's stomach, and he was promptly transported to a nearby hospital. Fortunately, his condition is reported to be stable, according to the police.

The incident took place in the Doulthabad mandal while Prabhakar Reddy, who is representing the Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) as a candidate for the November 30 assembly elections in Dubbak, was actively campaigning. The authorities have apprehended the alleged assailant, and his identity is currently under verification, as conveyed by Siddipet Commissioner of Police N Swetha to PTI.
