Recalling 'Katti Batti's' failure, Imran Khan My heart ached

Imran Khan, renowned for his roles in movies such as 'Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na,' 'Delhi Belly,' and 'Mere Brother Ki Dulhan,' recently delved into his cinematic past, taking a nostalgic trip down memory lane with his last film, 'Katti Batti.' The actor chose to express his reflections about the movie by sharing a collection of behind-the-scenes images from the filming process and discussing the unexpected nature of it being his final on-screen appearance.

On October 27, Imran Khan took to Instagram, sharing several behind-the-scenes photos from the shooting of 'Katti Batti,' a film directed by Nikkhil Advani and co-starring Kangana Ranaut.

In the caption of his post, Imran Khan conveyed, "I've been dragging my feet as I got closer to posting Katti Batti. When we started shooting, I had no idea that it would be my last time facing the camera; I did know that it had been two years since my last outing, and the pressure to deliver a successful film was huge."

Imran Khan also praised the remarkable cast and crew of 'Katti Batti' in his post. He took time to commend his co-stars and the director, expressing his admiration for their skills and dedication. In particular, he commended director Nikkhil Advani for his effective and seemingly effortless approach to managing the production. Imran noted that Kangana Ranaut's commitment to authenticity was evident in her extensive research into her character's illness. He described Mithila Palkar as endearing and stated that she had become like a little sister to him, and Sahil Vaid, his on-screen best friend, had become an integral part of his off-screen family.

Reflecting on his character 'Madhav' in the film, Imran Khan recollected how he had poured his heart into the role, hoping that it would strike a chord with the audience. He remarked, "But there was something about Madhav that spoke to me."

Imran went on to discuss the film's performance at the box office and how it impacted him emotionally. Despite giving his all to the character 'Maddy' and believing in the strength of the character's conviction, he experienced a sense of heartbreak when the film didn't meet expectations and faced a disappointing reception upon its release.
