Jatin Kakadiya, the proprietor of Flora Jewels Private Limited, has crafted a miniature replica of the Surat Diamond Bourse (SDB), constructed with 'Panchdhatu,' a blend of Gold, Silver, Copper, Iron, and Lead. This exquisite replica, adorned with embedded diamonds, will be presented to Prime Minister Narendra Modi following the inauguration of the SDB building complex in Gujarat on Sunday.
Scheduled to unveil the SDB building, hailed as the world's largest office complex and a part of the Diamond Research and Mercantile (DREAM) City, the Prime Minister will engage with diamond traders and workers within the premises during his visit to Surat. The SDB building attained recognition from the Guinness World Records as the largest office building globally in August of this year.
Craftsman Jatin Kakadiya shared with Aaj Tak/India Today TV that he dedicated seven days to meticulously fashion the replica, expressing his intent to gift it to the Prime Minister during the ceremony. The replica, now on exhibition at the Rootz Gems and Jewellery Manufacturers’ Show at the Sarsana Convention Center in Surat, incorporates the precious metals of 'Panchdhatu' and underscores the opulence with the inclusion of diamonds.
While Kakadiya chose not to disclose the monetary value of the replica, he asserted that such gifts transcend monetary assessments, embodying a sense of "evaluability."
In addition to inaugurating the Surat Diamond Bourse, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to declare Surat Airport as an international airport on December 15. His agenda also includes the inauguration of the new integrated terminal building at Surat airport, offering a comprehensive exploration of vital developments in the region. Following these events, the Prime Minister will proceed to Varanasi to participate in the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra.
