AAP rejected approval for Ramleela at Bharat Mandapam on January 20–22; the location was changed

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has encountered a denial of permission to organize the Ramleela event at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi scheduled from January 20 to 22. Consequently, the party sources have indicated a relocation of the event venue to Pearey Lal Bhawan at ITO.

On Wednesday, the AAP announced plans to conduct Ram Dhun ceremonies across Gujarat on January 21, a day preceding the consecration of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya. AAP's Gujarat chief, Isudan Gadhvi, outlined the party's vision of promoting Ram Rajya through enhancements in education and healthcare facilities as he unveiled the event scheduled for January 21.

This initiative followed the AAP's decision to host the Sundarkand Path recitation event in Delhi every first Tuesday of the month. The inaugural Sundarkand Path took place last Tuesday, with AAP Chief and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal actively participating in the recital and havan ceremony in Delhi's Rohini.

As preparations intensify for the grand Ram Mandir 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony in Ayodhya on January 22, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is slated to be the chief guest at the event, marking the inauguration of the Ram temple. The first glimpses of the idol of Ram Lalla installed within the sanctum sanctorum of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya were revealed on Thursday. Commencing on January 16, the seven-day religious rituals for the Ayodhya Ram Temple 'Pran Pratistha' ceremony are set to continue until January 21.

The temple trust anticipates the attendance of over 7,000 individuals, including politicians, celebrities, industrialists, and saints, at the ceremony. Ayodhya, the temple town, has undergone significant renovations in anticipation of the Ram Mandir event. On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi released commemorative postage stamps dedicated to Ayodhya's Ram Temple and a book featuring stamps dedicated to Lord Ram from around the world.
