Possible high winds and light rain in Delhi; heatwave in Jharkhand and Bihar

According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Delhi is expected to experience light rain with thundershowers on Saturday, along with gusty winds. The weather forecast indicates a partly cloudy sky with the possibility of very light rain or thundershowers, accompanied by strong surface winds with speeds ranging from 25 to 35 kmph during the day.

The maximum temperature in Delhi is likely to settle around 39 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature is expected to be around 24 degrees Celsius.

On Friday, Delhi and neighboring areas of the National Capital Region (NCR) received a spell of rain, providing relief from the prevailing heat. The pre-monsoon showers were accompanied by strong winds, contributing to a decrease in the temperature in the national capital.

Meanwhile, several parts of India are currently experiencing heatwave conditions. The IMD has forecasted that heatwave to severe heatwave conditions will persist in many areas over Gangetic West Bengal, certain parts of Odisha, and isolated pockets across Sub-Himalayan West Bengal in the next five days.

Heatwave conditions are expected in isolated pockets over Bihar, Jharkhand, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Interior Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and East Uttar Pradesh over the next five days. Additionally, Kerala and Mahe may experience heatwave conditions from 26th to 28th, while Konkan could witness the same from 27th to 29th. Moreover, West Uttar Pradesh, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, and Yanam may experience heatwave conditions from 28th to 30th.
