Union Minister Nitin Gadkari passes out while speaking at a rally in Maharashtra

During an election rally in Maharashtra's Yavatmal, Union Minister and senior BJP leader Nitin Gadkari experienced a sudden collapse on stage, prompting swift action from party members who rushed to his aid and facilitated his immediate medical attention.

Gadkari, addressing the crowd at an election rally in Yavatmal's Pusad, suddenly lost consciousness and collapsed on stage. Witnesses observed party workers promptly assisting him, splashing water on his face, and swiftly escorting him away from the platform to receive medical assistance.

Following the incident, Gadkari took to Twitter to reassure concerned supporters, attributing his discomfort to the heat experienced during the rally in Pusad. He assured everyone of his well-being and announced his departure for the next election rally in Varud.

Despite the incident, Gadkari's dedication to his campaign remained unwavering, as he continued his electoral commitments, exemplifying his resilience and determination.

Gadkari, contesting from Nagpur in the first phase of polls, was actively campaigning for the Mahayuti alliance's candidate, Rajashree Patil, in the Yavatmal-Washim Lok Sabha constituency, led by Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde.

Yavatmal, part of the east-central Vidarbha region in Maharashtra, has been confronting severe heatwave conditions, with the weather department issuing alerts for impending heatwaves in various areas across the state.

Despite the challenges posed by the scorching weather, the electoral process in Maharashtra, including Yavatmal, continues as scheduled, with voters gearing up for the second phase of the Lok Sabha elections slated for April 26.
