Prabhas contributes Rs 50 lakh towards the kidney transplant of actor Fish Venkat

Actor Prabhas has come forward to support veteran Tollywood comedian Fish Venkat, who is currently in a critical condition in the ICU and urgently needs a kidney transplant. According to a statement by Venkat’s daughter Sravanthi in an interview with One India, the ‘Baahubali’ star’s team has assured them of financial assistance, offering to cover the transplant costs, which are expected to be around ₹50 lakh.

Sravanthi explained, “Daddy is very unwell and in a serious condition. He’s in the ICU and requires a kidney transplant. Prabhas’ assistant reached out and assured us of financial help. They asked us to keep them updated so they can bear the cost when the transplant takes place.

However, while the financial support is a big relief, the family is struggling to find a compatible kidney donor. Sravanthi said that no one in their family is a match, and all their efforts so far to locate a suitable donor have failed. In a heartfelt appeal, she called upon other top Tollywood stars who have worked with her father—including Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, Allu Arjun, and Jr NTR—to come forward and help find a donor.

She added with emotion, “He has worked in so many good films with all of them. No one seems to care about him now. I request everyone to please help my father.

Fish Venkat is widely recognized for his comic timing and distinctive Telangana accent, which earned him the nickname ‘Fish’. He has appeared in many successful films like Bunny, Adhurs, and Dhee, and is fondly remembered by fans for his supporting roles that often blended humor with villainy.

This situation highlights both the fragility of health and the need for solidarity in the film industry, especially for artists who have entertained audiences for decades but may not have the means to fight such medical crises alone.
