The Hundred 2025: No Indians are involved, Deepti Sharma chooses to manage her workload

India’s star all-rounder Deepti Sharma has withdrawn from the 2025 season of The Hundred in England to manage her workload ahead of a busy international schedule, including the ICC Women’s ODI World Cup in September 2025.

Deepti played a key role in London Spirit’s title-winning run last year, scoring 212 runs and taking 8 wickets in 8 matches. She famously hit the winning six in the final, sealing the team’s first-ever Hundred title.

London Spirit praised her contribution, calling it “iconic” and expressing hope to have her back in future seasons.

To replace her, the team has signed Charli Knott, a 21-year-old Australian all-rounder known for her performances with Brisbane Heat and Southern Brave. Knott said she’s excited to return to the tournament and looks forward to playing at Lord’s again.

London Spirit begin their title defense on August 5 against Oval Invincibles. With Deepti out, no Indian players will feature in this year’s edition.
