Trailer for Made in Korea: Priyanka Mohan travels to Seoul from Tamil Nadu


The trailer of Made in Korea was released on Holi (March 4). The film, which will stream on Netflix, follows Shenba, a young woman who leaves her small town in Tamil Nadu to begin a new chapter in Seoul, South Korea.

Led by Priyanka Mohan, the film also features South Korean actors Park Hye Jin and No Ho Jin. Directed by Ra. Karthik and produced by Rise East Entertainment, the story explores themes of identity, friendship and cultural discovery.

A cross-cultural journey

The trailer presents Shenba’s long-standing fascination with Korean culture and her determination to experience it firsthand. As she navigates life in Seoul, she faces unfamiliar challenges while trying to find a sense of belonging. The film highlights the contrast and connection between everyday life in Tamil Nadu and the dynamic atmosphere of Seoul.

Priyanka’s portrayal captures Shenba’s transformation from uncertainty to independence, while the performances by Park Hye Jin and No Ho Jin contribute to the film’s depiction of cross-cultural relationships.

In a statement, Priyanka described Shenba’s journey as deeply personal, saying it reflects finding strength during uncertain times and learning self-reliance. She called the role both challenging and fulfilling, adding that her first collaboration with Netflix makes the project especially meaningful. She also noted that Shenba’s dream of Korea stems from childhood curiosity, something she connected with immediately when she first heard the script.

Release details

Made in Korea will begin streaming on March 12 on Netflix. It will be available in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam.
