The Lawrence Bishnoi gang has reportedly claimed responsibility for a firing incident at a café and bar in Surrey, Canada, according to messages circulating widely on social media, though officials have not yet confirmed the authenticity of these claims.
Based on the posts, individuals identifying themselves as Tyson Bishnoi and Jora Sandhu stated that members of the gang carried out the shooting at a Chai Sutta Bar outlet during the night. They described the attack as intentional and targeted, alleging that the café is located adjacent to Kaps Cafe, which is associated with Indian comedian Kapil Sharma.
In the same message, the individuals issued an explicit warning, claiming the attack was meant not only as a direct message to the café owners but also as a signal to Kapil Sharma. The post suggested that failure to comply with their demands could result in further action, including shutting down the café and potentially targeting Sharma himself.
The message went on to assert that earlier attempts to communicate through intermediaries had been unsuccessful, expressing frustration and demanding a direct response. It further escalated the threat by stating that continued disregard could lead to future attacks on nearby establishments, including Kaps Cafe, and even extend to locations linked to Sharma in Mumbai.
Additionally, the post conveyed that the group would no longer consider recommendations or external interventions, urging the intended recipients to take the warning seriously. It implied that similar incidents involving neighbouring businesses should serve as a lesson.
Despite the seriousness of these claims, law enforcement agencies have not independently verified the authenticity of the social media posts or confirmed any direct link between the firing incident and the gang, and investigations into the matter are ongoing.
