After killing her fiancé, a Pune lady said, You left me on my birthday, come back

Alleged Instagram posts attributed to Siya Goyal after the death of her fiancé Ketan Agarwal showed emotional messages that initially drew public sympathy.

In one post reportedly shared on June 19—her birthday—she wrote that he had left her on the day she was supposed to celebrate, expressed confusion over his death, and ended with a farewell message. Another story allegedly included a video of Ketan speaking from a moving car, along with a romantic clip of the couple dancing and a caption suggesting he should “come back.”

These posts were widely seen at the time as expressions of grief by a bereaved fiancée following what was believed to be an accidental death at Lohagad Fort.

Her Instagram highlights also reportedly contained older videos of the couple together during their engagement period, showing moments that appeared affectionate and celebratory.

However, the situation later changed after police arrested Siya Goyal and her alleged partner Chetan Chaudhary, accusing them of killing Ketan Agarwal and attempting to portray his death as an accident.

Investigators initially treated the incident as an accidental fall based on Goyal’s account that Ketan had slipped while trekking. But inconsistencies in her statements led police to continue the probe.

According to the investigation, officers later claimed that Goyal was in a relationship with Chaudhary and did not intend to proceed with her engagement to Agarwal. They allege the two conspired to eliminate him and arranged for him to be taken to Lohagad Fort, where Chaudhary allegedly joined them later.

Police further allege that the pair pushed Ketan off the fort, resulting in his death. The case was opened for further investigation after a complaint from his father, and officials are still examining the full sequence of events and whether additional people were involved.
