Krishi Thapanda, a Kannada performer, speaks up about a man's passing at her Bengaluru residence

Kannada actor Krishi Thapanda has spoken publicly for the first time since businessman Vaishak was found dead at her Bengaluru home earlier this month. In an emotional statement shared on Instagram, the 36-year-old actor requested privacy and understanding, saying she has been deeply affected by the tragedy and overwhelmed by the speculation surrounding the incident.

Krishi explained that she never expected to address the matter publicly but felt compelled to do so after facing constant rumours and assumptions. Her statement comes as police continue their investigation into Vaishak’s death. Authorities have confirmed that no suicide note was recovered from the scene, and inquiries are still underway.

In her post, Krishi described Vaishak as someone who was extremely important to her. She said his passing had left an indescribable emptiness in her life and remembered him as a person who consistently supported her with kindness and care. She admitted that she was still struggling to process the loss and was uncertain whether she would ever fully come to terms with it.

The actor also shared that she had been dealing with personal emotional challenges for some time and was now confronted with yet another heartbreaking tragedy. Although she initially chose to remain silent, she said the ongoing rumours and public scrutiny had made her grieving process even more painful, prompting her to speak out.

Appealing for empathy, Krishi said she had not been given the time or space to mourn because of the constant attempts to sensationalise the incident. She expressed gratitude to her friends and supporters for standing by her during this difficult period and urged people to be considerate of everyone affected by the loss.

Concluding her statement, she requested that the public allow Vaishak to rest in peace and give his family, friends, and loved ones the privacy they need to grieve with dignity. She disabled comments on the post and ended her message with a heartfelt plea: “I’m begging you to stop.”

According to investigators, Vaishak had reportedly been receiving treatment for depression and was facing personal as well as family-related difficulties. Police also learned that he had been living separately from his wife for nearly a month following repeated disagreements. Officials have reiterated that no suicide note was found and that the investigation remains ongoing as they work to determine the exact circumstances surrounding his death.
