Actors Trisha Krishnan, Radikaa Sarathkumar and Aparna Balamurali are set to headline an upcoming Tamil psychological horror film, which has gone on floors in London. The untitled project marks filmmaker Raja Krishna Menon’s entry into Tamil cinema and also becomes Panorama Studios’ first Tamil production. Presented by Panorama Studios in association with Locomotive Global, the film is being developed as a women-centric story.
Menon, who has directed films such as Airlift, Chef and Pippa, is exploring a new genre with this project. The film marks several firsts for the director, including his debut in Tamil, his first psychological horror and his first story focused entirely on women.
Talking about the project, Menon said the film represents a new phase in his creative journey. He also expressed his enthusiasm about collaborating with Trisha, Radikaa and Aparna, along with the rest of the cast and crew.
The filmmaker said he has previously been described as “genre agnostic” and sees the new project as another opportunity to explore a different kind of storytelling. He highlighted that the film is his first Tamil-language project, psychological horror and women-centric story, while calling it a privilege to work with Trisha, Radikaa, Aparna and the rest of the team.
Currently being filmed in London, the movie is expected to focus more on psychological suspense, mystery and atmosphere rather than depending entirely on traditional horror elements.
The casting brings together three actors from different generations, each known for their distinctive screen presence. The film is produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak, Abhishek Pathak, Sunder Aaron, Vikas Sharma and Amit Dalmia. Rajesh Menon and George Cameron are serving as co-producers, while Abhinav Mehrotra is the creative producer.
The makers have yet to announce the film’s title, release date and additional details about its storyline.
