Actor Kartik Aaryan is preparing to begin shooting for Captain India, and director Shimit Amin has penned an emotional message for the film’s crew ahead of the start. Kartik recently shared Amin’s heartfelt note on social media, in which the filmmaker expressed gratitude to his team for remaining committed despite the difficulties they had faced in recent months.
Addressing the Captain India team, Amin wrote, “As we embark on this journey to finally make our film, I want to thank each and everyone of you, from the bottom of my heart.” He acknowledged the obstacles they had gone through and said their determination to continue had been “tremendously inspiring” to witness.
Amin also highlighted the passion shared by everyone working on the project. He said the entire team “carries the burden of wanting to make a really good film” and described that feeling as “magical”. According to the director, he could sense the team’s energy, which helped him push through some of the most challenging phases of making the film.
Ahead of what he called their “big day”, Amin said he was proud of everyone involved. “I really feel we have the best team in the world! Really!!! I am so proud of each and every one on this team,” he wrote. He concluded his message by saying, “Good luck to us all. Forever grateful, forever inspired.”
Kartik, meanwhile, recently offered fans a look at his preparations for Captain India. The actor posted a series of photographs from his journey to London, including a flight selfie in which he was seen holding the film’s script while listening to music. The carousel also featured images of airports, flights, his luggage and Kartik seated inside a car.
Sharing the pictures, Kartik captioned them, “VABB to EGLL. #CaptainIndia,” accompanied by an Indian flag emoji.
Directed by Shimit Amin, Captain India marks the filmmaker’s return to directing after more than a decade. Amin is known for films such as Chak De! India and Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year. The upcoming project is being produced by T-Series, Baweja Studios and Dopamine Studios.
Kartik is reportedly set to portray a pilot in the film, which draws inspiration from a historic evacuation mission. According to Bollywood Hungama, Parvathy Thiruvothu is expected to appear in a significant role, while actor Manish Chaudhary has also reportedly joined the cast.
Captain India is slated to arrive in theatres on August 13, 2027.
Kartik Aaryan will next be seen in Naagzilla, directed by Mrighdeep Singh Lamba. He will also star in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4.
